There is plenty to do for the children too. Visiting attractions in Putten such as the Subtropical pool, Midgetgolf, Schovenhorst Adventure Playground and Forrest Tower.
City trips to Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Utrecht are also easily accessible.

Putten sits on the edge of the Veluwe and is surrounded by ancient forests, rolling heathland and wide-open polders.

Travelling with dogs
Erkemederstrand (Zeewolde) beach has a dedicated dog beach that is open all year round for dogs incl. dog showers.
Nulde beach dog season is 1 Oktober - 1 May.
The Grote Ark is the largest moorland area however, the dog must be leashed.
In the Putterbos, there are several dog walking areas too.

Fishing & Birdwatching
Snake Lake – De Berenkuil
This quiet pond is known for the large population of carp.
A peaceful place for anglers, but also lovely for a short walk or simply sitting by the water.
Delta Schuitenbeek (Veluwemeer)
Between Jachthaven Nulde and the Nijkerkersluis you’ll find a beautiful nature reserve with a spacious bird hide. It’s a paradise for birdwatchers and photographers. Depending on the season, you may spot water birds, waders and even special migratory species.
De Grote Ark is also perfect placet o discover birds.

Wildlife spotting
On the Veluwe the wildlife has all the freedom. With a little luck, you’ll see it live, too.
Plan a sunrise or sunset walk through the varied landscapes and bring your binoculars.

On Wednesdays, the lively Puttense Weekmarkt fills the centre with stalls selling produce and local treats, while bargain hunters can follow the monthly brocante route through the village.
The compact town centre is perfect for browsing fashion boutiques, cafés and gift shops — and for a bigger outlet experience, Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet is about an hour away.

Bunschoten-Spakenburg (35 min)
A photogenic fishing village where the harbour, botters and old cottages make you feel you’ve stepped back in time.

Utrecht (45 min)
Vibrant canals, unique wharf cellars, rich history and top museums make this one of the Netherlands’ most enjoyable cities. Combine with Kasteel de Haar.
Elburg (45 min)
A tiny walled Hansa Town with cobbled streets, ramparts and strong ties to its maritime past. Combine with a visit to A. Vogel garden.
Arnhem (50 min)
Known for WWII history but also offering great shopping, culture and major attractions like Burgers’ Zoo and the Nederlands Openluchtmuseum.

Visit Zaanse Schans, Edam, Volendam & Marken. Can be combined in one trip (7 hours).
Volendam (65 min)
Colourful harbour, seafood stalls and traditional costumes in a classic Dutch fishing village atmosphere.
Marken (70 min)
Wooden houses, narrow lanes and wide water views create a unique former-island experience, reachable by ferry from Volendam.
Edam (70 min)
Quiet canals, historic warehouses and, of course, the famous cheese traditions make it postcard perfect.
