GinChalet is built on love, family, and a shared passion for beautiful places. Our story began on a sunny ski trip in France, where Danish-born Pernille met Dutch-born Jeroen.


What started as a holiday romance became a life together — and eventually, a place to share with others.


After years of building a home and a family in the Netherlands, our love for nature and cosy escapes led us to the Veluwe. In 2020, together with our children, we created GinChalet: a collection of warm, cosy chalets, each inspired by a favourite gin and designed with care, comfort, and character.


At GinChalet, you’re not simply booking a stay. You step into a home shaped by our family’s journey, created with care to inspire new memories.

Recreatiepark De Oude Driest

Bungalowpark De Kern

Recreatiepark De Oude Driest is a small, peaceful recreational park in the Krachtighuizen area of Putten, right in the heart of the Veluwe. It is especially attractive for visitors looking for a relaxed holiday close to nature, with the famous Veluwe forests only about 250 metres away — ideal for immediate access to excellent walking and cycling routes.

 

Park atmosphere

  • The park is known for its calm, well-maintained setting, making it perfect for couples, families, and nature lovers seeking a comfortable stay on the Veluwe
  • From the edge of the park, you can head straight into the woodland, heathlands and scenic forest paths. Whether you enjoy hiking, cycling or simply unwinding outdoors, everything starts right at your doorstep

Chalets

  • De Oude Driest offers a pleasant holiday atmosphere without large crowds or busy entertainment facilities — a favourite for guests who value peace and space.
  • All chalets include fully equipped kitchens, comfortable beds, outdoor seating areas, and parking near the accommodation, making it easy to combine relaxation with outdoor living.
  • The three chalets (Nolet, Loopuyt & Hermit) are strategically located next to each other, ideal for families or groups travelling together. Together they can host up to 10 guests, divided over the three homes, so you can spend time as a group while still enjoying your own private place. is a small, peaceful recreational park located in the Krachtighuizen area of Putten.
  • Nolet is the newest chalet renovated in 2025. With its 2 bedroom and spacious livingroom it is very suitable for two couples (second bedroom 2 single beds) or a family of 4
  • Loopuyt is renovated in 2022. With its 2 bedroom and spacious livingroom it is suitable for two couples (second bedroom 2 single beds) or a family of 4
  • Hermit is renovated in 2021. With its 1 bedroom and spacious livingroom it is very suitable for a couple


Bungalowpark De Kern is a well-established bungalow park nestled in the wooded landscape of the Veluwe, just outside the centre of Putten. It includes family-friendly facilities such as a café/bar & restaurant, children’s pool and playground. It’s located in the peaceful area of Krachtighuizen, offering direct access to extensive forest and nature trails—ideal for walking and cycling enthusiasts.

  • The park is known for it's public small outdoor swimmingpool and playground making it perfect for families with smaller children

  • It’s particularly appealing for visitors looking for a family holiday experience close to nature.

 

Chalets

  • De Kern offers family-friendly chalets, making the park perfect for families and nature lovers looking for a comfortable stay on the Veluwe
  • All chalets feature fully equipped kitchens, comfortable beds, private outdoor seating areas, and parking close to the accommodation, so guests can easily combine relaxation with outdoor living
  • The two chalets — Damrak and Hanami — are especially well suited for families
  • Damrak has two spacious bedrooms, making it ideal for two couples or a family with older children. There is also enough room to comfortably place a baby cot. Dogs are welcome, and the garden is completely fenced, offering extra peace of mind for parents and pet owners
  • Hanami is more suitable for a family with younger children. The second bedroom is equipped with a bunk bed, creating a cosy and practical sleeping space for kids

Further Information

All our chalets are for recreational use ONLY. Commuting is NOT allowed due to local rules. Furthermore, they are family homes and cannot be rented for (bachelor) parties and/or similar events.


GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING

  • There is NO reception at the parks. Your host will welcome you at the park and be there for departure
  • There are CCTV cameras at all entrances to the parks
  • Our chalets are non-smoking!
  • It is always possible to order extra bed linen and towels during your stay. Costs may apply
  • There is a NO flight zone above the parks due to privacy
  • Open fire is always prohibited
  • We will collect deposit €200,- prior to arrival
  • Swimmingpool (Bungalowpark De Kern) is only open second week of June and 31 August
