About Damrak


Discover the comfort of our family friendly L-shaped chalet of approximately 65 m2 at De Kern bungalow park, in the middle of the beautiful Veluwe forests. Nice base for cycling or walking tours.


With two spacious bedrooms, equipped with comfortable 180x200 box-spring beds and ample closet space, Damrak Chalet is perfect for families with two children and a baby or even two couples.


The fully equipped open kitchen, with combination oven/microwave, Nespresso machine, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, makes self-sufficiency easy.


Relax in the bath, enjoy the spacious living space, and relax on one of the two terraces - one with a cosy lounge set and the other with a dining area, covered with a shade triangle. The enclosed garden offers privacy and security.


Upon arrival, the beds are made and towels are ready, so you can immediately enjoy your stay.


Please note that there may be some noise from Grand Cafe De Kern, located opposite our chalet.


Discover  De Kern bungalow park, with a playground for the little ones and table tennis for the 'big' kids directly opposite our chalet. In the summer, Grand Café De Kern opens for lunch and dinner, with a beautiful view of the swimming pool and the playground.


Dogs are welcome, provided they are quiet, so please inquire in advance. Costs may apply.

All our chalets are for recreational use ONLY. Commuting is NOT allowed due to local rules. Furthermore, they are family homes and cannot be rented for (bachelor) parties and/or similar events.

  • There is NO reception at the parks. Your host will welcome you at the park and be there for departure
  • There are CCTV cameras at all entrances to the parks
  • Our chalets are non-smoking!
  • It is always possible to order extra bed linen and towels during your stay. Costs may apply
  • There is a NO flight zone above the parks due to privacy
  • Open fire is always prohibited
  • Dogs are only welcome, after consultation. Costs may apply
  • We will collect tourist taxes (per person per night) and a deposit €200,- prior to arrival
  • Swimmingpool (Bungalowpark De Kern) is only open second week of June and 31 August

Getting around

Arrival by car: Navigation address is Oude Garderenseweg 26, Putten. Opposite this address is the entrance to Bungalow Park De Kern. Access only with a pass.

Public transport: It is not entirely possible to reach the house by public transport.

Bus stop: Nearest bus stop is Oude Garderenseweg , Putten. From here it is a 17 minute walk.

Train station Putten: Stationsstraat 127, 3881AC Putten

Amsterdam: Even Amsterdam can be reached by train in just over an hour. Park for free at Putten train station.

Amsterdam Park & Ride: Park your car quickly and easily at the IJ-oever Centrum parking garage. From the parking garage you can walk to the Amsterdam tram stop, Muziekgebouw Bimhuis , within 2 minutes. From this tram stop, tram 26 leaves for Central Station every 5 minutes.

Nature and Recreation: Explore the Speulder and Sprielderbos or Schovenhorst estate and enjoy panoramic views from the Forrest Tower. Search for the mystical "Solse Gat" (legends says it is a sunken Monastery), the Netherlands point of gravity "Zwaartepunt van Nederland" with a large stone with a ring in it or the wondrous tree  artwork called Medusa.

Culture and History: Experience history in the Historical Museum De Tien Malen, De molen “t Hert” and the Oude Kerk. You can also visit the Putter Steam Pumping Station.

Wellness: Relax at Sauna Drôme Putten for a day of wellness.

Attractions for Children: Visit Play and Experience Farm De Roosendaal and enjoy playgrounds or try the kids walk in Putterbos. Pluk your own vegetables, fruit and flowers at Pluktuin het Platteland.

Shopping and Eating: Explore the cosy shops and taste local dishes in the center of Putten.

For the whole family: Midgetgolf & Restaurant at Terra Nova, Putten. Rainy day? Try the 18 holes in their covered hall or go bowling at the Bowling & Partycenter in Putten. My kids recommends Pokemon Go hunting in Putten and forrest.

Beach: Strand Nulde at Veluwe aan Zee Putten offers a combination of tranquillity and activity, with beaches suitable for families and water sports enthusiasts.

Subtropical pool: Bosbad Putten is swimming fun with various pools, slides and play facilities for children.

Biking routes: Putten is a very good place to start your cycling trip across the Veluwe, as you cycle through a vast polder area or the varied forest. You will pass cosy villages and discover special and unique spots.

Walking/hiking routes: Putten have many walking routes through the beautiful forest and moorland or hike one of the clog paths. Starting point of Huinerpad (Klompenpad) is behind Recreational park De Oude Driest and is a walk through rural areas, past farmland and historic sites. Or get to know Putten during the Historic Village Walk!

Water sportsRent a sup at Strandparc Nulde and relax at along the Veluwe Randmeer.

Fishing & birdwatching: There are plenty of carp at pond Snake Lake at Berenkuil in Putten or observe the birds at Delta Schuitenbeek from a spacious bird hide at Lake Veluwemeer between the Nulde marina and the Nijkerkersluis.

Traveling with dogs: Erkemederstrand (Zeewolde) beach has a dedicated dog beach that is open all year round for dogs incl. dog showers. Nulde beach dog season is 1 Oktober - 1 May. The Grote Ark is the largest moorland area however, the dog must be leashed. In the Putterbos, there are several dog walking areas too. Dogs are not welcome at all places like clog paths.

Geocaching in Putten: Offers a varied experience ranging from forest trails to historical sites. Popular spots include the "Putterbos" (Van Eeghenlaan area), the "Zwaartepunt" (geographical center of the Netherlands), and historical caches related to the Razzia Putten 1944.
